Tooth Removal
Before the surgery, the patient is given local anaesthesia. It numbs the site of surgery so that the patient doesn’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Oral sedation or general anaesthesia are also offered if necessary or requested upon.
A small incision is made on the gum tissue. It creates a gum tissue flap, which helps the surgeon to access the bone tissue.
In some cases, the dentist may trim the bone tissue to get better access to the impacted tooth that needs to be removed.
This step relates to cutting down the impacted tooth into pieces. This enables the surgeon to remove them conveniently.
This is the major step in which the surgeon removes the broken pieces of the tooth from the bone tissue.
Depending on the condition of the patient, the surgeon may stitch the site of the incision.
