      What is an Apicectomy?

      An apicectomy is a minor surgical procedure that involves removing the tip (apex) of a tooth’s root and the surrounding infected tissue. It allows you to preserve your natural tooth, eliminate infection, and avoid extraction, and is typically recommended when:

      • A previous root canal treatment has failed
      • There is a persistent infection or cyst at the root tip
